HONDA ACTIVA 125 OVERVIEW & PRICE
The Honda Activa 125 is the Japanese manufacturer’s premium 125cc scooter offering in India. The BS6-compliant scooter gets a slightly revised design with an updated feature list and powertrain. As part of its BS6 updates, the Honda Activa 125 gets an LED headlamp, LED pilot lamps on the front fascia, an external fuel filler cap, a side-stand engine immobilizer, and a pass light switch. The 125cc scooter also features a new semi-digital instrument console that shows the average and real-time fuel efficiency distance-to-empty readout.
The Honda Activa 125 gets an all-new 125cc fuel-injected motor that delivers 8.29PS and 10.3Nm. That’s 0.27PS and 0.24Nm lower than the BS4 Activa 125, but Honda claims this new motor is 13 percent more fuel-efficient than before. It also gets an ACG starter generator for silent starting operations, and an engine begins to stop the system.
The CVT transmission carries over from the BS4 Activa 125. The new Honda 125cc scooter features the same underpinning as the BS4 Activa 125. It gets a telescopic fork and a mono-shock. Braking is via a 190mm front disc or a 130mm drum at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear with a combined braking system. It gets 12-inch front and 10-inch rear steel wheels as standard.
The top two variants get alloy wheels. The Activa 125 goes against the Suzuki Access 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and the upcoming TVS Jupiter 125. Other 125cc scooters like the Hero Destini 125, Hero Maestro Edge 125 BS6, and the Suzuki Burgman Street BS6. Price-wise, it competes with the Honda SP 125. The current ex-showroom Honda Activa 125 price is ₹ 79,806.
