HONDA CB 1000R OVERVIEW
Honda has taken the wraps off 2021 CB1000R and gets a new Black Edition which will replace the current-gen CB1000R Plus variant. The litre-class streetfighter gets updated looks, better equipment, and more features for 2021. Firstly, the headlight looks a bit sharper. Also new is the seven-spoke cast aluminum wheels with a distinctive Y-shape design. The Black Edition features an all-black paint scheme and a fly-screen as standard.
The CB1000R gets a Euro 5/ BS6 compliant 998cc inline four-cylinder engine that gives the same power and torque as before. 145.48PS at 10500rpm and 104Nm at 8250rpm. It retains its six-speed transmission. The Black Edition, though, benefit from a bi-directional, quick shifter which comes in as standard. Electronic nannies include four ride modes Rain, Standard, Sport, User, and three levels of Engine Power (P), Engine Brake (EB) and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), where HSTC can be switched off.
It retains the same set of hardware as before. Suspension duties are handled by Showa SFF-BP inverted forks and Showa BRFC (Balance Free Rear Cushion) mono-shock, both fully adjustable. A twin 310mm front disc with radial calipers and a 256mm disc at the rear anchors this bike. Expect Honda to launch the 2021 CB1000R in India in the early weeks of 2021.
Owning this bike means you have power in your hand. The power supply of this bike is outstanding. A superbike with a very comfortable sitting position. 2021 Honda CB1000R is available in 3 different colours – Red, Black, and White. We call it the rider triangle-where your butt hits the seat, your feet rest on the pegs, and your hands grip the bar. By opening up the triangle on the CB1000R, you sit up a little straighter, which gives you a higher vantage point. Plus, most riders will find it a little more comfortable, too.
HONDA CB 1000R VERDICT
