SPORTS TOURER LOOKS
This one has got sporty look written all over it by all means whether be it from the side, front and rear panels. In the front section sporty LED angular headlamp is the one that stands out. The sporty front cowl along with aggressive visor design completes the package. A lot of space is present in between forks and front cowl so that it can breathe and the black radiator is clearly visible.
While inside profile lines, aggressive edges and decals from the cowl cover 50 per cent. Side air duct designing is also nicely done here within the cowl. Engine part is completely exposed to exhibit what it’s heart is all about highlighting red Honda emblem. Chain sprocket and its parts are also exposed to limited coverage. Engine cowl here brings protection and extra zip to the overall design.
The rear section clearly shows how wide the rear tyres are and tail lights are both sporty and refreshing. Silencer is larger in size having blacked out muffler same colour as that of the exhaust. Build quality of parts, panels, switchgear etc is top notch and no issues what so ever. There are four colours to opt from.
POWERFUL AND TORQUEY ENGINE
This 249.6cc engine pumps out 26.5PS of power @ 8,500rpm and a torque of 22.9Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine features liquid cooling technology and has DOHC. Honda’s PGM-Fi gifts the rider with superb throttle control abilities, increase in power, cleaner exhaust emissions and better fuel economy. The CBR250R features the world’s first patented application of roller rocker arms used in combination with DOHC valves. The throttle response and initial pick-up straight off the line are right on the mark.
The feedback from the low and mid end is far superior compared to the top end. It does not thrive to reach the top end for brisk and fast acceleration. The low and mid-end along with good excellent torque figures of the CBR is phenomenal. So together they offer a comfortable ride in congested cities. This doesn’t mean that the top end is weak, but not that enthralling and punchy.
The Honda’s trademark six-speed transmission with 1 down 5 up to the pattern is positive and easy to use. Gear ratios are a bit short to have a city ride more engaging. It offers strong acceleration figures with a 0-100km/h in time of 8.6s and a maximum speed of over 150km/h. Another noteworthy thing is the excellent fuel economy. Honda’s fuel injection and other latest technology enable it to achieve this tag. The overall build quality of the bike, especially that of switches, paint finishes, etc. are mind-blowing.
EXCELLENT SUSPENSION SETUP
The Honda CBR250R 2018 chassis utilizes a diamond-shaped twin-spar tubular steel frame with truss structures, which incorporate the engine is outstandingly communicative. Front contains typical telescopic beefy 37mm forks, which reduce vibrations on the handlebars. While the rear features a pro-Link suspension which enables progressive shock characteristics.
Straight-line stability and rideability in uneven roads are one among the best. Along the corners, it provides the rider’s intentions without any hesitation and proved to be confident. The exemplary continental tyres give adequate grip both on track and for normal riding. The rear tyres are of 140/60 which offer adequate contact with the tarmac.
The handlebars on the Honda CBR250R 2018 are set close to the body, and one doesn’t have to extend arms too much. Coupled with rear set foot pegs bike is mean towards a sportier feel. The seating position and the comfy spilt seats make long rides comfortable. The CBR250R is equipped with C-ABS (optional). The front and rear are equipped with disc brake’s 296mm dia with a dual-piston calliper up front and a 220mm dia disc with the single-pot calliper on the rear to ensure safe and confident braking.
The 250cc DOHC single cylinder engine, LED headlamp, full sporty cowl, sporty instrument panel, racing muffler, split seat and grab rail, pro-link suspension, PGM-Fi, liquid cooled, 2-Channel ABS and wide tyres complete the features package.

Honda CBR250R 2018 has got few minor updates with the latest version and still after years of launch it has got a lot to offer and still sweats the competitors. The great thing about this 250cc is that it does perform equally well in all departments. Anyway, this is an all rounder by all means and Honda deserves special applauds for that.
