INDIAN SPRINGFIELD DARK HORSE OVERVIEW & PRICE

The Indian Springfield Dark Horse is the blacked-out and stripped-down version of the Indian Springfield Dark Horse that missed the pillion seat, front windscreen, and chrome detailing. The power comes from the highly-capable and refined air-cooled 1811cc Thunderstroke 116 V-twin fuel-injected engine that delivers 171N-m of torque at 3000rpm. The Indian Springfield Dark Horse has advanced technology and features combining modern convenience and a well-defined style. The engine mates with a six gearbox.

The Indian Springfield Dark Horse has ride-enhancing features like tire pressure monitoring, cruise control, and keyless ignition. The customer can choose between three ride modes(Tour, standard, and sport), stop and start comfort. In slow-moving traffic, for more convenience, the Rear Cylinder Deactivation automatically shuts off the rear cylinder, helping in fuel economy. When you hit the throttle, the rear cylinder seamlessly kicks back to full power for the motorcycle. The Indian Springfield Dark Horse quickly works on corners with its lightweight cast Aluminium frame and improved touring design. It is easy to handle and effortlessly balanced.

The suspension duty of Indian Springfield Dark Horse is handled by Telescopic fork suspension at the front and single shock at the rear. The seat height of this motorcycle is 650mm, which is quite suitable for riders who are not so tall. The mid-ride handlebars come standard for a relaxed reach that feels great on the road. Slammed remote-locking hard saddlebags provide secure storage for weekend getaways.

The rivals of this model are Harley-Davidson Road King and Triumph Rocket. The fuel capacity of this motorcycle is 20.8 liters, and it weighs around 355kg. The current ex-showroom Indian Springfield Dark Horse price is ₹ 29,56,494.

About INDIAN MOTORCYCLES

Home > Indian Motorcycle > Indian Springfield Dark Horse

Indian Motorcycle is an American brand originally established in 1901 in Springfield, Massachusetts, and gained prominence as a leading motorcycle manufacturer. Founded by George M. Hendee and Oscar Hedstrom, both former bicycle racers and manufacturers, the company transitioned to motorcycles and swiftly rose to success. The first Indian Motorcycles prototype was built in 1901, and by 1902, they introduced their motorcycles to the public. With innovations like chain drives and a distinctive deep red color introduced in 1904, Indian motorcycles gained popularity, reaching an annual production peak of 32,000 in 1913. The brand made history by clinching the top three positions in the 1911 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy.

Despite its early success, Indian Motorcycle Company faced financial challenges and underwent various ownership changes. The company eventually went bankrupt in the 1950s, leading to a hiatus in production. In 2011, Indian Motorcycle was revived by Polaris Industries, a leading power sports manufacturer. The brand was relaunched with a new lineup of motorcycles that paid homage to its classic designs while incorporating modern technology and engineering.
