KAWASAKI Z650RS OVERVIEW & PRICE

Kawasaki Z650RS is the most affordable retro bike from Kawasaki in India. Coming to the styling upgrades, the Kawasaki Z650RS is the fifth motorcycle in the bikemaker’s 650cc portfolio. It pays homage to the 1977 Z650-B1, featuring an old-school design with a similar green shade. The Kawasaki Z650RS looks proper retro, thanks to its circular headlamp, classic tank shape, and flat ducktail seat for added appeal, and you get 16-spoke alloy wheels which resemble wire-spoke wheels.

Retro design rounds off by the equally retro-looking twin-pod analogue speedometer and tachometer dials. However, keeping practicality in check, the Kawasaki Z650RS gets an LCD strapped between the dials, which shows gear position, fuel level, time, and trip meters. Dual-channel ABS and all-LED illumination run standard on the bike.

Mechanical specifications on the Kawasaki Z650RS get a 649cc parallel-twin engine producing 68PS power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm peak torque at 6,700rpm. It is linked to a 6-speed gearbox and is housed in a tubular trellis frame sprung on a 41mm telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable linked rear Monoshock. Braking is via twin 300mm discs with axial callipers up front and a 220mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper.

It gets a 649cc BS6 engine with Modern Retro Styling, which features timeless good looks and a casual appearance that reflects its rider-friendly character. With both front and rear disc brakes, Kawasaki Z650RS comes up with an anti-locking braking system. This superbike weighs 192 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. The Kawasaki Z650RS rivals the Triumph Trident 660 and the Honda CB650R. It is available in two colours- Candy Emerald Green and Metallic Moonlight Gray. The current ex-showroom Kawasaki Z650RS price is ₹ 6,99,000.
