KTM 250 ADVENTURE OVERVIEW & PRICE
The KTM 250 Adventure is powered by a 248.8cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 29.5 bhp and a torque of 24 Nm. This 250 Adventure bike weighs 156 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres. KTM has updated its India portfolio with the launch of its entry-level adventure motorcycle, the 250 Adventure. The quarter-litre adventure tourer joins the 390 Adventure in the country to rival the likes of the BMW G 310 GS and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The styling cues are similar to the 390 Adventure, although the 250cc model gets a halogen headlight and an LCD screen. Other features include LED DRL, LED indicators, an LED taillight, split-style seats, a side-slung exhaust, and an engine cowl. The 250 Adventure gets a BS6-compliant 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 29.5bhp power and 24Nm of peak torque. The motor links to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from a slipper and an assist clutch.
Unlike the 390 Adventure, the new 250 Adventure does not get the quick-shifter function. The cycle parts on the 250 Adventure include a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock with a 177mm travel range and the upside-down 43mm front forks boasting 170mm of travel – both sourced from WP. The 390 Adventure, the quarter-litre adventure tourer, rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast wheels. The anchoring setup includes a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear rotor, while the safety net includes- a switchable, dual-channel ABS.
It is the same motor that finds on the 250 Duke and the Husqvarna 250s. There is no change in the engine tune as it churns out 30PS and 24Nm. The six-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch remain untouched. There are no differences in the styling department of the 250 Adventure to its elder sibling 390 Adventure-the sharp tank extensions, tall, flat seat, and long-tail section are all the same.
