Benelli TRK 502 is an outright adventure tourer which includes the extended suspension, huge front body design with extended front windshield and a lower rider seat height. More attractions include the handlebar covers and 12-spoke black alloy wheels. The TRK 500 even gets a good amount of space below the engine bay for mild off-road purposes also. The crash bars around the fairing and engine bay makes it a safe and responsible ride on rough surfaces.
Benelli TRK 502 is an adventure bike available in India. The Benelli TRK 502 is powered by a 500cc BS6 engine with ergonomic style and plenty of legroom for comfort on longer trips. This TRK 502 bike weighs 235 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 20 liters.
The TRK 502 is a middle-weight adventure touring motorcycle from Benelli that has been built around a steel trellis chassis. It is powered by a 500cc two-cylinder, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled motor that is capable of churning out 46.8bhp of max power at 8500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
The Suspension duties are handled by beefy 50mm inverted forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear with preload and rebound adjustment. The TRK 502 has a ground clearance of 190mm and a seat height of 800mm. It sits on 17-inch alloy wheels with steel spokes at both ends shod with Pirelli Angel GT tires.
For braking, the TRK 502 comes equipped with 320mm dual discs with radial calipers and a 260mm single disc with a floating piston caliper at the back. Benelli offers the TRK 502 with dual-channel ABS as standard which is switchable.
The BS6 edition gets backlit switchgear, aluminium frame knuckle guards, new handlebar grips as well as larger mirrors. Even the LCD console sports a different layout with orange backlighting accompanied by an analog tachometer.
The Benelli TRK 502 comes in 3 different colours and is priced at Rs 4,94,000/-(ex-showroom price) onwards which makes it more affordable than the previous BS4 model. In its segment, the motorcycle doesn’t have any direct rival but faces the closest competition from the Kawasaki Versys 650.
With a rich history dating back to 1911, Benelli brothers from Italy has started a journey that of Benelli company which is still going on. Now along the journey in 2005 Benelli became part of the QJIAN JIANG group from China. The Italian influence is just limited to some models from the Benelli headquarters that too in the designing process. With growing competition from Japanese models, they were feeling the heat which led to tie-up with QJIAN JIANG group.
