HERO XTREME 160R OVERVIEW & PRICE
The Hero Xtreme 160R gets its power from a 163cc BS6 engine, which develops a power of 15 bhp and a torque of 14 Nm. This Xtreme 160R bike weighs 139.5 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. The Xtreme 160R is Hero’s newest entrant in a 150-160cc sporty commuter segment. The motorcycle sports a sharp styling incorporating a radical-looking headlamp, beefy fuel tank and an upswept and sporty-looking tail section.
On the design front, it is based on the Xtreme 1. R concept, which Hero had showcased at the EICMA 2019 in Milan. The feature list of the Xtreme 160R comprises full-LED lighting for the headlamp, turn signals and tail lamp. It also gets a hazard switch along with a side-stand engine cut-off switch. Additionally, it comes equipped with a fully digital display and is available in two variants that differ in braking hardware.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle rides on 37mm telescopic forks upfront sourced from Showa and a mono-shock at the rear. Powering the Xtreme 160R is a 160cc, air-cooled engine that produces 15bhp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm at 6,500rpm. Lending an impressive power-to-weight ratio is its kerb weight, which is as low as 138.5kg. Hero claims that the bike has a zero-60kmph sprint in 4.7 seconds.
Hero offers the Xtreme 160R in three colour options- red, white and blue. The company has also introduced a new fancier-looking limited edition red-white colour scheme of the bike, commemorating the brand’s achievement of crossing the 100 million cumulative production milestone. In terms of competition, the motorcycle takes on the Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ S V3 and Bajaj Pulsar NS160 in India. The current ex-showroom Hero Xtreme 160R price is ₹ 1,21,636.
