HERO PASSION PLUS OVERVIEW & PRICE
The Hero Passion Plus gets a 97.2cc BS6 engine with i3s technology, which develops a power of 8PS and a torque of 8.05Nm. This Passion Plus bike weighs 115kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres. The Passion Plus model has replaced the Hero Passion Pro with more features, performance and better styling.
The Passion Plus has the normal styling we had seen throughout the commuter bikes of the past. They retained the iconic design while adding new-gen features like silver rim tapes on black alloy wheels, new graphics, elegant chrome garnish, etc. The overall design needs to be updated and up to the mark with current industry trends. While talking about ergonomics and comfort, low saddle height and the plush seat is the two main USP. Handling and ride position is on the comfy side. It also has a spacious utility case, a boon for desi Indian riders.
Now, coming onto the features, Passion Plus has tubeless tyres with alloy wheels, a mobile charging port, self and kick start option, etc. But the main setback here is Passion Plus only comes with a drum brake option, which has a lot of maintenance issues and poor braking capabilities. The main motive behind providing only drum brakes is to bring the MRP down, but Hero should have provided a disc brake as an option for the customer. The current ex-showroom Hero Passion Plus price is ₹ 77,951.
HERO PASSION PLUS VERDICT
PROS
- i3s technology engine
- Mobile charging port
- Digi Analog meter
CONS
- No disc brake option
- Overall styling bit outdated
