SUZUKI V Storm 800DE OVERVIEW & PRICE

The all-new Suzuki V Strom 800 DE is built on a new platform that originally came from the GSX-8S naked middle weight motorcycle, which is popular in other markets. It boasts a powerful 776 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank, delivering a thrilling 83 bhp at 8,500 rpm. Its peak torque of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm ensures an exhilarating ride.

The V-Strom comes with a 6-speed gearbox that features a bi-directional quick-shifter as a standard feature. It also sports fully adjustable Showa USD with 220 mm of travel, providing superb handling and control. Equipped with twin 310 mm discs in the front and a 260 mm disc at the rear, with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) at the rear (which can be turned off) and a Gravel Mode for when one wants to go off-road. Front tyre is 90/90 x 21 tubed and the rear, 150/70 x 17 tubed.

The S-DMS system provides the rider a choice of three different engine power output modes. Working in concert with the Traction Control System, S-DMS permits peak power in each mode while changing the nature of the power delivery. Suzuki debuted its first motorcycle Traction Control System* on the 2014 V-Strom 1000, and the five-mode system on the 2023 V-STROM 800DE lets the rider control the throttle with more confidence by limiting rear wheel spin in a variety of riding conditions.

It is available in three stunning colors -Champion Yellow No. 2, Glass Mat Mechanical Gray, and Glass Sparkle Black. While it may not be the lightest adventure bike with its 230 kg weight, the V-Strom 800 DE offers a spacious 20-liter fuel tank for long journeys. With a seat height of 855 mm, it ensures a commanding riding position. In terms of competition, it goes head-to-head with the Honda XL750 Transalp and the BMW F 850 GS, priced at Rs. 11 lakh and Rs. 12.95 lakh respectively. The ex-showroom Suzuki V Strom 800DE price is ₹ 10,30,000
