About HERO MOTOCORP
Hero Motocorp is the undisputed king among motorcycle manufacturers and has enjoyed being number one in the market for several years. With more than 40% per cent market share in the motorcycle industry, the company now sells around 20+ models in India and exports several models outside India. During its establishment, the company name was Hero Honda which commenced its operations in 1984 as a joint venture between Hero and Honda. “Hero” is the brand name used by the Munjal brothers for their parent company, Hero Cycles Ltd.
Hero Honda Group decided to discontinue the joint venture between Hero and Honda in a phased manner in December 2010, and Honda continued to provide technical assistance till 2014.
