Triumph Street Triple R is a middle-weight naked street bike available in India. It is powered by a 765cc BS6 engine with a high level of performance, and exceptional low-down and mid-range torque. With both front and rear disc brakes, Triumph Street Triple R comes up with an anti-locking braking system. The Superbike weighs 168kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 17.4 liters.
The instrument cluster of the Street Triple R comprises a cheaper LCD display with an analog tachometer, as against the RS’ more premium TFT display. Other features which come as standard in the R include an up-down quick shifter, traction control, three riding modes, and full LED lighting.
Powering the motorcycle is a BS6-compliant, 765cc, the inline triple-cylinder engine which produces 116bhp power and 77Nm of peak torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The premium hardware package of the Street Triple R comprises Showa suspension, Brembo brakes, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires.
Triumph Street Triple R has replaced the S version as the base model in India and is a more affordable version of the top-spec Street Triple RS. The styling of the Street Triple R is identical to the RS model. However, the former has conventional mirrors as opposed to the RS’ bar-end mirrors while the R version also misses out on a belly pan.
