TVS Apache RR 310 is the leader of the pack in all terms whether it is technology, features and performance. It is not just confined to the road but beyond that to the racing tracks. Crafted to overcome crafted to outperform is the words from TVS and it does that convincingly. There is a plethora of state of the art features like Multi-information Race Computer, Throttle by wire, Race-tuned slipper clutch and so much more on at a price tag of under Rs 2,70,000. So overall how does TVS Apache RR 310 fare?.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is a sports bike powered by a 312.2 cc Liquid Cooled engine. It produces 34 PS of power in Sport/Track mode and 25.8 PS of power in rain and urban mode .With its striking fantastic balance between sportiness and practicality it is very eye appealing. The bike weighs 174 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 11 liters.
TVS has to be complimented about the choice of rubber and claims to be the first bike in the world to get Michelin Road 5 rubber as standard. These tubeless tyres are extremely gripping, and they give riders more confidence because they dissipate water more effectively than the traditional Pilot sports tyres. Even if the roads have a layer of washed-over mud on them, they show no indications of losing traction.
The set of electronic assistance on the BS6 ApacheRR 310 is a tiny but highly beneficial modification. For different riding situations, TVS adopted ride-by-wire, which resulted in four rider modes: Rain, Urban, Sport and Track. Each mode comes with its unique ABS calibration, throttle responsiveness, and torque map.
By simply shutting the throttle and pressing the up button on the new control cube, you can cycle through the settings. The former LCD instrument cluster has been replaced by a five-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster. TVS’ Smart Xonnect Bluetooth module narrates call and SMS alerts, as well as turn-by-turn guidance on the screen.
The RR310’s overall design remains unchanged in terms of appearance. It does, however, gain a new dual-tone colour scheme that combines gloss black and matte grey. It is supported by a split trellis frame and is suspended in the front by upside-down forks and in the back by a mono-shock. Meanwhile, disc brakes on both ends help with braking, as does dual-channel ABS. It is capable of competing with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the new BS6 KTM RC 390.
In India, RR 310 has a starting price/- of Rs 2,53,560(EX-Showroom). There is only one model(Apache RR 310 ABS), with two colour options: Racing Red and Titanium Black.
