The TVS iQube is an electric scooter with a motor that produces 3000 W of power. The front disc and rear drum brakes are standard on them. TVS, like several other large manufacturers, has joined the green revolution by launching the iQube electric scooter in India. The iQube is the company’s first electric two-wheeler and offers a traditional scooter-like look with a host of modern amenities, decent performance and battery range. The electric scooter gets three lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 2.25 kWh. While charging takes about five hours, the claimed range is 75 kilometres.
A 4.4kW hub-mounted BLDC motor delivers 140Nm of torque at the wheel, propelling the scooter. According to TVS, the vehicle can reach a top speed of 40kmph in Eco mode and 78kmph in Sport mode, with an 0-40kmph acceleration time of 4.2 seconds.
The iQube also has full-LED illumination and a full-colour TFT instrument cluster with TVS’ SmartXonnect function. It also allows us to link our smartphone to the display through Bluetooth to access numerous information, including ride stats, remote battery range, and geofence. Interestingly it comes with a Q-Park feature for easy parking.
It has 12-inch wheels and supports telescopic forks in the front and twin shock absorbers in the back. The front brake is a disc brake, while the rear brake is a drum brake. It only comes in one colour and one version and weighs 118 kg. The current ex-showroom TVS iQube price is ₹ 1,23,776.
