TVS Apache RTR 180 celebrated 10+ years of successful leadership in India and is a mainstay in the RTR series. It has gone through the test of time with continuous improvement throughout the years. It will satisfy the racing needs of the current youth and still have the firepower to fight with competitors. Does it have the edge even now in this new age tech world?.
The design of the TVS Apache RTR 180 is based on that of its younger sibling, the TVS Apache RTR 160. The elegantly sculpted fuel tank with extended cowls improves airflow and adds to the bike’s overall appearance. It has beast-inspired LED headlamps and new pilot lamps, and it has a menacing appearance. The tail portion features an LED light and a muscular cowl with a tri-colour logo that adds to the bike’s luxurious appearance. The bike’s performance is aided by intelligent aerodynamics, which also reduces engine heat.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is powered by a 177.4 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 16.5 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm in the 2020 model. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox that can easily reach a top speed of 120 kmph, making this bike ideal for both short and long excursions.
In any race setting, the BS-VI race-tuned fuel injection system optimizes the engine for maximum riding performance. This enables the engine to accelerate at a relatively early stage of the race. It also aids the engine’s ability to provide high torque. According to TVS, the RTR 180 has a fuel economy of 45 kilometres per litre. The bike has a petrol tank that holds 12 litres.
Double Cradle SynchroSTIFF chassis, digital instrument cluster, beast-inspired headlight, adjustable clip-on handlebars, LED tail lights, Glide Through technology, and RT-FI technology are some of the other innovations that improve the vehicle’s performance.
This bike’s 2020 model has a modern look with features such as a headlight with two LED daytime running lights, electric start, engine cowl, tank scoops, sculpted digital display, LED tail lamp, and so on. This street bike is offered in India in only one type and four colours and costs Rs.1,03,950(EX-showroom)
