TVS JUPITER

INTRODUCTION

Jupiter is TVS best selling scooter since its launch in 2013. Its design may be sober but it is highly functional too, making it appealing to both mature and young buyers who are in the market for a scooter. However, for more visual appeal, TVS offers the scooter in a whopping 13 paint options, which is by far the most that any two-wheeler brand is offering in India right now.

TVS JUPITER OVERVIEW

The Jupiter is TVS’s most popular 110cc scooter in India. It is one of the most popular scooters from the Hosur-based manufacturer due to its neutral style, comfortable ride quality, and utility. The TVS Jupiter is a 109.7cc scooter with a gasoline tank capacity of 6 liters and a weight of 109kg. The new TVS intelliGo feature has been added to the Jupiter ZX Disc. It’s simply a ‘start-stop’ mechanism that turns off the engine if it’s been idling for an extended period of time. It helps to boost the scooter’s mileage.

Jupiter BS6 retains the same 109.7cc single-cylinder engine as previously, but it is now fuel-injected to enable it to meet the BS6 emission standards. It now produces 7.47PS and 8.4Nm, which is 0.51PS less than the BS4 version. For added convenience, the scooter has an all-in-one ignition key slot. In addition, the Jupiter BS6 replaces the old halogen headlight with an LED unit. A check engine light is also present because it is fuel-injected. A spacious 21-liter under-seat storage compartment and a large 2-liter cubbyhole on the back of the apron, as well as mobile phone charging, are included.

The Jupiter used to come with an optional front disc brake in the BS4 model, but currently, it only comes with drum brakes on both ends, with the exception of the ZX disc variant. The BS6 scooter is 1kg heavier than before, at 109kg.The top model is now priced from Rs 66,662 to Rs 73,707 (ex-showroom).TVS Jupiter is available in five variants: Jupiter Sheet Metal Wheel, Jupiter STD, Jupiter ZX Disc with IntelliGo, and Jupiter ZX Disc with IntelliGo, which costs Rs. 78,505.
